2-ethyl anthraquinone is produced by hydrogenation in solvent, and 2-ethyl anthraquinone and hydrogen peroxide are produced again during reoxidation. This reaction is used to produce hydrogen peroxide in industry. Phthalic anhydride is reacted with ethyl benzene to produce phthalic anhydride. Used in the preparation of hydrogen peroxide and dye intermediates, but also used as a photosensitive resin sensitizer, photocurable resin catalyst, photodegradable film, coating and photosensitive polymerization initiator
